Pose Tool 3D App Reviews

overpriced

I expected a bit more for that price. Clumsy handling, not intuitive at all, horrible interface. As for the posing, you would expect the joints working as physically possible and not just a 3D mesh that is deformable. Sorry guys, totally disappointing.

Fabulous!

I cant believe how powerful and realistic this app is. Im a sports coach, not an artist, but its super helpful for modelling body positions. In future updates Id love to see a white background, rather than the grey- or at least the option to change the background colour. Also, if would be convenient to be able to set the position for one limb then have the other just match the same settings. Big thanks for this amazing app.

Tedious

A lot of money for a tedious and poor interface. Took forever to get a good pose out of it. I want my money back.

Terrible interface

Clunky, hard to use interface. No polish whatsoever. Low resolution, minimal features. Waste of money.

Promising but needs some features

This is a really good start with a simple intuitive interface. Its missing some important features to make it useful, though It needs to be able to save more then one pose so that a library can be built up of different poses. Look at sketch pad pros gallery for inspiration. Having either different body types or scaling would be nice too. If you do this, please allow the scale/figure to be saved separately from the skeletal pose. Undo would be nice but its not needed. If the poser doc format is documented being able to import export would be icing on the cake. Until at least the first is added, this would be difficult use for any type of production.

What Id like to see

Ive always enjoyed pose tool, but Im hoping to see some things that make it better. One thing Id like is for it to not be stuck in portrait mode, modern devices like iPad Pros with their keyboard covers are often in the landscape position, so it would be nice if the app could do both. It would be great if you had some on screen tools to drag/pan the canvas with Apple Pencil, and an on screen zoom tool would be welcoming. This would help for when we have the pencil in hand and dont want to touch the screen. Would love to see keyboard shortcuts supported a well, and split screen multitasking so we can pop pose tool open while we are working in our creative softwares. All that would be golden.

Not worth it

The UI is really unintuitive and hard to use. Muscles deform to inhuman positions.

Clunky

Conceptually great, but very tedious and difficult to use interface. Cant recommend it- I deleted it.

Just some little details and it will be a perfect app for artists

It is the only app that has a totally customizable figure (various male or female body types). Its usefulness is incredible! In the first day after I bough it I could do a simulation extremely accurate of a pose for a drawing. The only suggestions for an even better experience are: some details regarding the apps design (its a little confusing UI), and the ability to save a picture (preferably a .png) of the created pose. Beside this minor things, all the regards to the developers! Keep updating and promoting this unique and quite useful app.

This eased up my daily work

From time to time I have some cartoon ideas that need a really tricky pose. Now the pose tool helps a lot. I just miss a possibility to manipulate the focus length so I could also simulate a wide angle view. It would also be great to be able to copy poses between male and female model.

Sehr hilfreich

As an illustrator I can really recommend this app. Compared to other tools here the controls are simpel and functional, allowing for perfect results in a couple of minutes. Of course this app is in no way a substitute for life drawing, but to create a useful reference for certain projects it is really helpful. Just a few things that might need a little improvement: - a catalogue of hand-presets to chose from, bending every single finger is quite time consuming - better definition of the shoulder and elbow sections on the models - a screenshot-button I give pose tool a five star rating anyway, because it is simply the best app of its kind in the appstore to date.

The body isnt realistic

I dont think that the coolest feature is that there are no geometrical constraints. It actually seems like the maker was too lazy to make it realistic. To switch between both would be cool. But well, it still helps me a lot. But it is confusing to have so many saves without an option to name them.

BITTE UPDATE

Bitte Update-Bitte Update-Bitte Update Macht es wie poser pro 2014

Crashes

Constantly crashes on my Iphone 4s. Screen freezes and I have to reboot my phone to reset it. Would be useful if it worked. Not impressed, want my money back.

Pose Tool

Endless possibilities with this app. Cant wait to learn and use.

...and it actually works too!

This is the best and most useable pose app Ive ever encountered. Easy to use, and lacks nothing. Its all FULLY adjustable even the fingers. As well as age, gender, muscle size and decently accurate muscle movement, directable lighting from 3 angles and any level of realistic intensity, and you can save your poses. So far Ive had no issues running the app. All it lacks is skin color and colored lighting and an apocalyptic zombie figure, otherwise its perfect.

Fun and useful

Once you get used to controls this app is extremely useful

Cool app

Really like this app. The most usefull feature atm is the muscle view, really good practice to be able to place them quickly. Next feature id like to see is a field of view option, like wide angle and tele.

this is an invaluable tool

this app is almost perfect. You can pose a mannequin almost any way and set light sources and then use them as reference for you sketch. male, female, old, thin, heavy, muscular. You still need to know how a body can move, but Ive been able to tackle many more intersting poses , angles and lighting effects in my drawings thanks to this. The only small improvement I would ask for is that the front of the foot also be made adjustable. This one is on my essential apps list.

Excellent app for illustrators

This app is awesome for reference poses!!! The only improvement it could use, is an easier way to move/position the camera exactly where you want it!
