Pose Tool 3D App Reviews

Great

Its a very nice tool for figuring out how a pose should look and how shadows fall without having to set up a physical person. I just hope that they keep improving on it and updating it because it really is great, but can be greater. Changing facial expressions would be phenomenal, but I see how it would be tough to do. The only problem I have with it is the skin doesnt always respond correctly when trying to do extreme poses like slouching one shoulder or bending the legs at the knees in a crouching position. Full digit control would be nice on the hands, but Im sure that will come

Ok

I hope with IOS going 64BIT you can do more with the model. Theres areas where this is great, and areas not so great. The bicep stays static in situations where it would normally scrunch up. If there was a way to have more flexing in the bicep that would be great. I think the stick man should be totally redesigned. Its hard to see and the way its done is odd. This app could be a million times more effective if you did the following. 1) do a better version of the raw muscle map. That has more movement. If I wanted to put the forearm upward and have my hand touching my deltoid/shoulder it doesnt work right. 2) Do a simplified muscle with only the important muscle, this way we can toggle back and forth to see connection points. 3) do a skeleton and have an option to overlay the muscles on top of it. 4) ditch the current mannequin for an actual simplified one ala Loomis, Villipu. 5) controls should be totally redone. The UI is bad. They get in the way, toggling is a nightmare. Any little touch will toss off the entire pose. Its a good app, but so much more can be done with it. You can really turn it into a super powerful tool. Right now its not there. Its a great app none the less. It just could be a million times better.

This is just what I was looking for.

This is the just the kind of application that touch screens were meant for. Ive been searching for a long time for an easy-to-use 3d poser without having to learn to be 3d animator first. The tool is easy to pickup and go. Developer: In a future update it would be helpful to have a tool to move the 0,0,0 point to, for example, the hand so as you are doing fine manipulations of the fingers it would be easier to keep what you are focused on in frame as you orbit. That is the only tricky thing about using this app.

Ok

The posing is a little limiting. Wish you could drag limbs into place by touch. Or, if dials are absolutely needed, there should be a way to make it react to a centre of gravity somehow. Also, the female bodys shoulders are a little broad, buff, and rigid. All the 3d pose apps in the App Store have this problem, but in real life..women are more petite can drop their shoulders. Someone else mentioned that there should be a few sample poses to work from and theyre right. It would really help.

A really great tool with room for improvement.

This is an amazing tool for figure drawing. The only suggestion Id have is to make interacting with the model a little more natural. It would be great to have an option to directly grab and drag individual body parts, instead of having to move them with the buttons on the side. The current way works, but it could stand to be made a little less stiff.

Excellent great improvement potential

Great pose controls. Suggest the following improvements: 1. Preset hand positions, such closed fist, peace sign, etc. 2. Improvement in simulation of the hip to allow "muscles" to keep natural shape in extreme positions of leg 3. Limits that do not permit model joints to bend past natural limits Excellent product, overall.

Great app and getting better!

I found out about this app on the website of Riven Phoenix who has a series of human drawing videos. The app reminds me of a mini version of Poser or Daz3d. A variety of preset poses included or offered to compliment this app would cut down on time but overall excellent.

Google but needs more

Its a great idea but you should also add clothed figures for drapery studies.

Awesome but is there one for animals?

I love this app and am really glad you decided to make it. Is there anything like this for animal poses? If not, you should TOTALLY make one because I would buy that.

A bit awkward

Its okay... I mean... It will pose a figure pretty much. But it desperately needs undo and redo buttons... And a clearer interface for saving a loading... I have lost work because the icons are confusing, not labeled, and have identical appearance so you cant tell if you are about to delete everything you did with no hope of recovery... And WHY is this the ONE app that doesnt automatically save the file? Needs toe posing support.

Exceeded My Expectations

What I like: -Robust posing options -Individual fingers -Several body types (ectomorph, endomorph, etc) -Save/Load desired pose -Box/ Segmenting options to help "see" -Very nice lighting options -Accurate pinching and pulling of major muscles What Id like to see: -A slightly more obvious indicator of what I have selected. Perhaps a gradient that only appears when moving (so as to not throw off the lighting engine)? -Option to name saved poses -Even if it were an up-charge, Id value a generic youth model.

Please update the UI for

Its a good app but please update the icon and UI for the retina display! The tools looks too strange on the iPad… :(

Thank you!!!

Ive use to draw all the time but stopped dye to frustration of proportions and perspective. With this app its easy to get the pose and look of what I want to draw. Awesome app thanks. Hopefully youll add new and better features as time goes on.

Love this!

I love this app, but maybe you could make one so we could pose two or three figure together and make a scene. That would be awesome!

Excellent

Quite possibly the best artists reference tool out there; combined with Barcsays Anatomy for the Artist, anyone who seeks to understand human anatomy better will be all set. Three things I would suggest: -Landscape orientation compatibility -Skeleton figure model -Option to manipulate facial features individually to create different expressions. Overall an almost perfect app; I cannot praise it highly enough. :)

Needs body builder choice

Wish I could save pose to photos but still good. Please give option to save to photo file.

Good

It will be better if you put 10 famous poses that artist use for concept art

Great app!

I love this app. Very handy and flexible. Here are some things that I would like to see.... -would love to be able to apply different colors to the light sources -I would prefer sliders that are labeled instead of the joystick selectors for movement..... -would pay extra if I could manipulate the facial expressions -zoom/pan/rotate move too fast for my taste...a setting to adjust this would be awesome -PLEASE ADD A "SAVE TO CAMERA ROLL" BUTTON

Needs an undo button

Ive screwed up many a pose by accidentally pressing the static pose button, please fix this

One Major Fault.... BEWARE

This is a very fun, useful, and instructive app but I absolutely cannot figure out the load/ save feature. I have contacted the developer who insists it is my problem. He tells me to watch the video over and over. You have to go to his website to even see the video. This does not help! I believe it is a design problem. I hope this feature will be made more intuitive and easier to use. In the meantime its a fun and useful app if you dont mind not saving the poses.
